Robin Philips (°1992) is currently working as a PhD Researcher at the IISH, within the HINDI research project which studies the historical dynamics of industrialization in Northwestern Europe and China (1800 – 2010). In the context of the HINDI project, Robin is responsible for the data collection on the Netherlands, Belgium, and England for the period 1820 – 2010. He aims to look at how and why the location of industry shifted in these countries during the modern and recent period, but his research also includes how industrial pollution and local sentiments towards industrial firms play a role in this story.
